Hello Tech Ed community, I hope you all have been well since spring break and that the last quarter of this school year treats you well. On behalf of the BCTEA executive, I wanted to let you know there has been a change among the executive members. Heather Elliott, our president, has been offered an exciting position in her district as temporary Acting Vice Principal of Career Ed. Because this position is outside of our union, she can no longer hold a position on the executive and so has stepped down. As is normal process our vice president, Andy Strothotte, has stepped into the vacancy and will be Acting President of the BCTEA until our next AGM in October. Heather has been a positive force in our organization, and I hope you will join me in appreciating all her time spent (as I know she will continue to) advancing the cause and advocating for the needs of Tech Ed teachers. Those of you who know Andy, know he is as hard a worker as any of us and with all his experience on our executive will have no problem transitioning into the president position. As always, please feel free to reach out to any of the BCTEA executive should you have any questions or concerns.

Nigel Reedman, Past President
